Fatigue Analysis of Pressure Vessels- Based on ASME Section VIII Div.2
This course aims to provide an understanding of methodologies for fatigue life assessment of mechanical components in various codes and standards specially ASME Section VIII Div.2, part 5. A finite element analysis approach is needed to conduct fatigue analysis techniques and cycle counting, hence finite element models will be presented to show how to apply analytical techniques for fatigue analysis. Furthermore, how to impose the transient loads on model and how to meet the ASME code requirements will be presented in this course.
- Revision of ASME BPVC Section VIII Div.2-2023 will be examined.
