Procedure for Classification of Stresses, Drawing of Path Lines, and Linearization of Stresses

To draw a path line in finite element analysis and to judge as to whether it can extract a valid date to assess is very important. In this course, participants will be taught to classify stresses and evaluate validity of path lines and stress linearization of components.

Course Items: • Failure mechanisms relation to stress categories • To establish appropriate location for stress classification line • To draw appropriate path lines and to determine membrane, bending, and peak stresses (Cone, Tubesheet, Branch, Nozzle, Bolts, etc.) • To establish methods for validity of path lines
