Piping Stress Analysis- Piping Flexibility Analysis (Intermediate)
The purpose of this course is to evaluate 30-40% of piping lines not to be analyzed with computer programs as specified in critical line list of each project. Piping stress analysis highly depends on piping layout. Other departments like architectural and structural cannot wait for piping departments to perform all piping stress analyses and send their results to involved departments. An estimation of proper pipe route, pipe span, support location, loads imposed on foundation, etc. should be provided for other departments to start its own work. A detailed description of accepted methods used technically to check piping flexibility such as leg and expansion rules, ASME flexibility check, etc. will be presented in this course. At the end of this course, “Flexibility Check Tool” (Developed by ACE) will be introduced. It is worthwhile mentioning that the subject maters described in this course will not be addressed in Caesar II training courses.
