Piping Vibration Failure and Damage Modes (General)

This course aims to familiarize engineers with failure mechanisms of piping due to vibration and is helpful for those who are responsible for assuring the mechanical integrity of piping system in design or operation stage. This course provides for participants a foundation of vibration knowledge, full understanding of type of vibrations including mechanical and acoustical vibrations, identification of potential sources of vibrations, measurement and assessment of vibrations, and the best approach which can be used for mitigation of failure modes. This course is a prerequisite for passing other vibration courses.
