Piping Vibration Analysis (Technical)
This course is aimed at raising awareness of the types of piping vibration and fatigue issues, and how they can be managed through the project lifecycle. It covers the new methodologies required to design and assess vibration of pipework in oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, and also thermal and nuclear power plants during various stages of a project. This course gives to participants a good technical view and knowledge of vibration principles including rules of thumb and several mathematical and computational concepts when modeling piping systems. Through a series of practical case studies, participants will learn about how vibration related issues arise in piping systems, how to determine root causes and risk levels, and how to apply suitable corrective actions. Furthermore vibration measurements and which techniques are applicable will also be covered comprehensively. To be more specific, inspection techniques, preventative methods and techniques, practical corrective actions, tips, and tricks on piping vibration will be shared in this course. At the end of this course, “Pi-Vi Assessment Tool” (Developed by ACE) will be introduced.
