Analytical Methods for Piping Vibration Analysis of Nuclear Power Plants
In this course, the mechanisms of excitation and failure factors of piping of power plants, especially nuclear power plants due to vibrations of the piping will be examined, and then will be explained how to create a Program Plan and Inspection Plan for the examination of piping lines. Furthermore, common methods for evaluation of vibration of pipelines in operating power plants will be addressed. In this course, one of the processor systems (either engineered safety feature or non-safety system, whichever the employer is willing to be modeled) will be modeled, and the modal analysis, harmonic analysis, and fatigue analysis of the system are evaluated and discussed. Furthermore, how to model stationary and rotary equipment (if there is in the process system) will be taught while modeling the process system.
- More detailed syllabus will be submitted on request.
