Mechanisms of Failure in Piping Systems
This course examines the existent failure mechanisms in piping of oil, gas, petrochemical, thermal plant, nuclear power plant, and other nuclear facilities over the plant service life. Moreover, the common corrective actions implemented to mitigate the piping failures including water hammer, fatigue induced vibration, erosion, corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking will be discussed.
