Engineering and Consulting Services: Pressure Vessel Design
ACE carries out designing of pressure vessels based on ASME Sec. VIII Div.1 and Div.2. Analyses performed take into account the mechanical loads applied to pressure vessels and/or more complicated loading conditions requiring in-depth analysis (including pressurized thermal shocks, dynamic loads, etc.). The scope of services is as follows:
-
Develops engineering documents such as specifications
- Performs stress analysis
-
Reviews pressure vessel design report to be consistent with design specification
-
Checks input data, calculations, results, and makes needed recommendations
-
Performs design by rules for pressure vessels to be designed based on ASME Sec.VIII Div.1 and Div.2
-
Performs design by analysis for pressure vessels to be designed based on ASME Sec.VIII Div.2
-
Verifies that piping loads on fixed equipment are within the code allowable limits (Based on WRC 537 and WRC 297)
-
Designs pressure vessel supports based on ASME Sec. VIII, Appendix G, and verifies the stress components of supports are within a safe margin
- Provides finite element analysis based on ASME Sec. VIII Div.2 (See the “Finite Element Analysis” service)
- Derives Pressure Temperature Limit Curve, if needed
- Calculates pressure vessel natural frequencies
- Evaluates Leakaging Flange
- Evaluates seismic and wind loads based on ASCE 07
-
Conducts high level of detail needed to analyze accurately to predict pressure vessel stresses and solve existent problems
If stress of pressure vessels exceeds their allowable limits, recommendations will be made to reduce the overloaded equipment to acceptable limits.
